Funk, soul and chill out groove with jazz on the latest release by the Whitefield Brothers. They charged on to the scene with "In the Raw" in 2002. Now eight years later they are bringing down the house with "Earthology".
A quick check of the CKCU online play lists (http://cod.ckcufm.com/programs/search.html) shows that the disc has been played on programs as diverse as: Cold Heat, Unclassifiable, This Island Earth, Steve Kirkland and Roots and Rhythms. Giving you some idea of how diverse the appeal is to this LP/disc.
It is a stone funk classic and will be enjoyed for years to come. Hip Hop influences meet very funky jazz, percussion drives the beat everywhere. Traditional instruments rock out. This disc is pure F-U-N!!!!!
