Best Of 2011 - Lisa Corkery
Lisa Corkery hosts Tread Lightly every second Thursday night from 11 - 12 PM here on CKCU. She is also on the Board of Directors. She recently renovated her kitchen! Here's her best of 2011 list.
Various Artists - The National Parks Project
This is an epic moment in Canadian musical and film history. The depth here is incredible. On Tread Lightly I've been showcasing a different park's collaborators each week. I play a couple of tracks from each of the artists' catalogue and then the result of the three of them together in their NPP. So far we've only covered 2 so plenty more to come in early 2012! Check out the film and soundtrack, first chance you get www.nationalparksproject.ca.
Bill Callahan - Apocalypse
The track "Drover" is an anthem.
Daniel Romano - Sleep Beneath the Willow
If I'd had a vote, this record would have won the Polaris Prize. Timeless.
Snailhouse - Sentimental Gentlemen
Beirut - Riptide
And also...
The Kills - Blood Pressures
Buck 65 - 20 Odd Years
Bonnie "Prince" Billy - Wolfroy Goes to Town
Junior Boys - It's All True
Timber Timbre - Creep on Creepin' On
Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
Camp Radio - Campista Socialista
Giant Hand - Starting as People
Bon Iver - Bon Iver
