Who do you think will make music that matters in 2011?
Here are a few I am looking forward to:
Youn Sun Nah - this Korean Jazz vocalist earned rave reviews for her 2010 release "Same Girl" on ACT. Although she has been around for some time she is just starting to get noticed on this side of the Atlantic.

Vijay Iyer - American Jazz pianist who melds jazz with Indian Classical music. Regularly works with the wonderful Rudresh Mahanthappa. And has collaborated with Mike Ladd. Last year his "Solo" disc was on many best of the year lists. What's next? His upcoming disc is called "Tirtha" and finds him performing with Prassana and Nitin Mitta!
Phronesis - featuring bass player Jasper Hoiby. Have begun to win awards in the UK and appear poised to make a name for themselves in Canada and the USA.
