Great Live Recordings Part Three

Hope you are enjoying checking out these amazing live discs. Feel free to give your faves a shout out as well.

Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison

The Man in Black brings his show behind the bars and rips into a set for an appreciative group of convicts. Sounds like a movie script? It happened and it was better than anyone could have imagined.

Buck Owens and His Buckaroos - The Carnegie Hall Concert

A great concert hall with one of the best country bands of all time. It worked and it is superb!

Merle Haggard & the Strangers - Okie From Muskogee

he goes back to his roots and performs in front of a wild crowd a set of wild fast and out of control songs. Backed by the best band in the business.

Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen - Live From Deep in the Heart of Texas

Keeping the spirit of country alive with a rock and roll heart. They rip through covers and originals at a break neck pace.

Emmylou Harris - At the Ryman

Backed by the Nash Ramblers this is an outstanding live set. Mixing originals, old tyme music and modern covers they take the listener through a survey of Americana. All performed by a top notch band and one of the best singers in the history of country music.

Alison Krauss & Union Station - Live!

Outstanding performance by this talented singer and fiddle player. Here band is not too shabby also. They mix the modern with the traditional. From ballads to foot stompers it has a little of everything.
